The Chicago Dental Society (CDS) recently polled more than 300 dentists about issues such as their own dental habits, adults seeking braces, and how the current presidential candidates' smiles rate.
Obama and Edwards: too close to call? Of Democratic presidential candidates, U.S. Senators Barack Obama and John Edwards (now out of the race) were neck and neck for votes for 'best smile' from dentists, with 38 percent and 36 percent of the vote, respectively.
Republican Mitt Romney's (now out of the race) smile wins by a landslide. Dentists gave more than 45 percent of their votes to the former governor and Republican presidential candidate's toothy grin. Remaining Republican candidates John McCain and Mike Huckabee didn't stand a chance garnering only 6 and 10 percent of the votes each.
