Apple will announce its new iCloud music streaming service later today at WWDC 2011, and before the service has even launched Apple is facing an Antitrust complaint in Germany.
According to the report, a music streaming service called Simfy is alleging that Apple is delaying approval of its music streaming application for the Apple iPad because of the imminent launch of Apple’s iCloud.
Simfy is a music streaming service similar to Spotify and their CEO Gerrit Schumann recently told The Next Web that “As we offer a true triple play streaming service (mobile, Web, desktop) – it seems Apple is worried about competition.”
Is this an attempt by Simfy to get some publicity with the launch of Apple’s iCloud service or do they have a legitimate complaint about their application being delayed? I guess we will have to wait to find out.
